About the Exam:

The written test is for two programmes:

  • Postgraduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM)
  • Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM)

PRM students are selected on the basis of this written test, GD & interview while FPRM candidates are selected on the basis of the written test, interview & presentation of an essay. Candidates who have completed their PRM from IRMA and who plan to apply for FPRM, don't need to take the written test.


Exam Pattern:

The written examination will comprise following objective type tests. The details of these tests are given below:

All these four tests would be in a composite test booklet. There will be a separate answersheet for indicating your answers. All these 200 questions would be printed serially form Q. No. 1 to Q. No. 200. You may attempt the questions / test in any order you like. However, in your own interest you are advised not to spend too much time on any one test.
To qualify in the written examination, it is necessary to pass in each one of the objective tests separately. Click here to get sample questions for the test.


Eligibility Criteria:

For PRM:

Graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA from a recognised Indian or foreign university are eligible to apply. Candidates who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before 17th June 2013 may also apply. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

For FPRM:

Candidates with any one of the following are eligible to apply for FPRM:

a)Postgraduation in any discipline from a recognised institution with 555 marks
b)PRM from IRMA
c)4 year professional degree with 60% marks & at least 1 year work experience
d)5 year professional degree with 60% marks

SC/ST/PWD candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above.  Candidates who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before 17th June 2013 may also apply
