Dravidian University, DUCET-2012 Entrance Test

Dravidian University invites application for DUCET-2012 Entrance exam for admission into following programmes for academic year 2012:

Master Degree Programmes:

• MA (Telugu & Translation Studies / Tulu & Translation Studies / English & Communication / Kannada & Translation Studies / Tamil & Translation Studies / Linguistics / Philosophy / History, Archaeology and Culture)
• M.Sc (Self-Financing) (Organic Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science)
• MLISc (Master in Library Information and Science)
• M.Ed

Bachelor Degree Programmes:

• B.Ed
• B.Sc (Botany, Bio-technology and Chemistry)
• BBM

Eligibility:
For MA (Philosophy) / MA (Tulu & Translation Studies / MA (Linguistics)

• Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline

For MA (English & Communication)

• Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with English under part one or part two

For MA (Kannada & Translation Studies)

• Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Kannada under part one or part two

For MA (Tamil & Translation Studies)

• Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Tamil under part one or part two

For MA (Telgu & translation Studies)

• Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Telgu under part one or part two

For MA (History, Archaeology and Culture)

• Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with History as one of the optional

For M.Sc (Biotechnology)

• Candidate should has passed B.Sc Degree with Chemistry and any two subjects in Life Sciences

For M.Sc (Chemistry)

• Candidate should has passed B.Sc Degree with Chemistry as one of the subject

For M.Sc (Computer Science)

• Candidates should have passed B.Sc Computer Science with Mathematics combination

For MLISc

• Candidate should has passed Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks

For B.Sc (Botany, Bio-technology and Chemistry)

• Candidate should has passed Intermediate or its equivalent exam with Biological Sciences as a subject from a recognized board

For BBM

• Candidate should has passed Intermediate or its equivalent exam from a recognized board

Selection Procedure:
For Master Degree Programmes:
Selection of candidate is based on score in entrance test conducted by Dravidian University.

How To Apply:
Applications can be obtained from Office of the Dean, Academic Affairs, Dravidian University, Kuppam-517426 either in person along with a Draft for Rs. 300/- or by post with a Demand Draft for Rs. 350/- drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Dravidian University, Kuppam-517426” payable at Kuppam.

Those who download the Application from the University Website have to enclose a Demand Draft for Rs. 350/-.

Separate Application must be submitted for each subject.

• Date of DUCET-12: 31-Aug-2012 (10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Dravidian University Campus)
